Excelcomindo Pratama (XL) menggandeng produsen ponsel asal Taiwan, HTC Mobile, untuk memasarkan ponsel Android dalam waktu dekat. Ponsel Android yang akan dibundling dengan kartu perdana seluler XL itu kemungkinan besar adalah produk HTC Hero.
Bersama BlackBerry Gemini yang akan dirilis pada September, HTC Hero turut serta dalam uji coba jaringan yang digelar XL.
Ponsel Android, sejatinya juga dipasarkan secara ekslusif oleh Telkomsel, beberapa bulan lalu. Seri Android yang dipasarkan operator itu adalah HTC Magic.
Oleh Telkomsel, ponsel ini dipasarkan dengan harga Rp 6,5 juta. Sementara, XL belum berani menyebutkan harga HTC Hero yang memiliki layar sentuh 3,2 inch (480×320) tersebut.
Dari sisi tampilan fisik, HTC Hero memang agak beda dibandingkan HTC Magic. Di bagian bawah ponsel ini, tepat pada area tombol dan navigasi, ada bagian yang agak melengkung. Mirip seperti lengkungan pada bodi kalkulator pada umumnya, namun dalam posisi terbalik.
Berdasarkan penelusuran di internet, spesifikasi lain produk ini antara lain: kamera 5 megapiksel dengan autofocus, AGPS, Digital Compass, Gravity sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack.
HTC Hero sendiri menggunakan prosesor 528 MHz Qualcomm, RAM 288 MB, serta memori 512 MB untuk memori internal yang bisa ditambah dengan kartu microSD.

Does anybody know which sort of video files are supported? I bear in mind the Instinct solely may dl 3gp utilizing opera mini. I downloaded the twist ap, perhaps that is the issue? How can I watch videos from websites other than youtube? Which file varieties? Normally I’m given the choice of 3gp or mpeg4. Can’t get both to work. Thank you to your time! Damn I want I used to be eligible for the upgrade to EVO!

Thank you for the great article, I’m very excited. I’ve had my phone for simply over a month now and am really playing all the loose apps from the android marketplace, having the ability to have the internet and navigation at my fingertips all of the time. The one less than thought function is the image/video textual content messages, as they don’t seem to be downloading properly.
